1998-1999: David Norris and Rich McCulley

Rich McCulley

Rich McCulley, guitarist and songwriter, began playing guitar in his early teens and before finishing high school, had established himself playing with rock groups in various performance venues. At the same time, Rich also began to write and record his own songs.

Rich has toured as the guitarist for Columbia Recording artist Sweet Vine and Greffen Recording Artist Big Blue Hearts. In addition to guitar, Rich also plays the bass, mandolin, lap steel and harmonica. His talent can be heard on many studio and live recordings. Rich has engineered and produced many independent artists as well.

Rich is currently playing guitar and writing songs for his own band, Sparklejet. Sparklejet has just released its second CD.

David Norris

David Norris is a guitarist and celebrated songwriter. He has studied piano, dobro, mandolin bass and steel drums. In 1984, he began writing his own songs.

For 3 years, Dave worked as a recording engineer for Wolfsound Audio where he met Rich McCulley. 10 years later, the two began a song-writing partnership. One of the songs that resulted from the partnership is Carousel.

In 1996, David was invited to the Grand ‘Ol Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee to hear once of his songs performed at a songwriters’ convention. One year later, he won a full scholarship through NSAI to attend a songwriter’s camp.

David is currently working on a CD of original songs titled Extra, Extra … Count the Days. This album will be released in the late spring of 1999.
